Office Closet Before Reveal

November 7, 2018

the unorganized closet before shotThis office closet is a disaster! You know those closets where all you do is throw in the junk you don’t want to deal with? This is that closet. As you can see from the photo above there is no organization. Items are simply thrown in the closet without thought. There are office supplies, wrapping paper, extra bedding, and so much more! All of this has to go to make room for the office supplies. The key to making this closet work for an office will be to find the right storage pieces. This will give the closet a more cohesive look as well as all the supplies will be easily accessible. I will also be adding labels to storage boxes so every item has a home. Thinking of refreshing your space check out a few Budget but Beautiful tips.

items i would love to find for the OFFICE closet makeover
  • A storage shelf to create a built in look
  • Floating shelves for additional storage
  • New lighting to replace the sad bulb and to add more light

The budget $400

You might think $400 is a lot for such a small closet. I am going to be taking out the closet organizer and adding shelving at the back to make the closet larger. I know by investing in furniture that fits the space properly this will be a successfully makeover. Although $400 is not exactly cheap it is definitely a room on a budget. I can’t wait to share the reveal!

3 Ways to Get Organized The budget office storage 3 Ways to Get Organized

The budget office storage was revealed last week, so let's talk organization! This was the key to the storage closet. Everything has a place and there should be minimal clutter.
It becomes pretty frustrating when we constantly have to look for items we want to use. Getting organized not only creates less clutter, it saves you time!
1. Throw away items you no longer use - I know it seems straight forward, but sometimes it can be difficult. This closet previously housed a lot of junk that was no longer needed.

2. Use storage containers - Image if all the contents of those baskets were simply stacked in each shelf, it would feel very disorganized. Baskets are a small investment to help you get organized.

3. Create a labeling system - Whether you have a label maker or purchase labels or make these DIY paper lables I made, labels are key to being organized.

Do you remember what this closet looked like before? Swipe right to see. ➡️ It wasn't pretty. Now all of the craft supplies, paper, cords, wrapping etc have a place to be stored. The baskets create a clean look and keep this space clutter free.
I don't what to pick a favorite but I think this little closet makeover is one of my favorite budget room makeovers. More photos over on the blog.
